Clubs are abundant, but some have prerequisites. I believe at least one club was unique to PPHS. Clubs included SADD, Key Club, a business club, and Student Council, among others.

Bottom Line: Although PPHS is a silver medal school, it's courses are common to other schools, and there are also not enough courses for in-demand and lucrative fields. They need courses like Nursing Prep, Middle School Teaching and Psychology, Indie Film Making, Interdisciplinary Music Creation, and even a business course for Entrepreneurship if not already in existence. Dual enrollment is an option, but the school is limited to Kalamazoo Valley Community College as far as I know.

I'd rather hang out in a garbage dump.

It sucks!

Plenty of dedicated teachers as of the 2010-11 and 2011-12 school years. Advanced Placement courses for liberal arts programs that would lead to out-of-demand fields. Abundant selection of business courses including Intro to Business, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, and Finance. Highest mathematics course is AP Calculus (Calculus 1, I think). I heard about some technology classes, and there are some interesting classes as well such as FST (Functions, Statistics, and Trigonometry). They may possibly still have woodshop courses (Beginner's, Advanced Woods 1, 2, and 3, and Drafting). Art classes exist. Seniors got a choice of what English class to take (English 12, College Prep, and AP English). Fitness classes also exist. To my knowledge, Spanish courses are the only foreign language taught (although American Sign Language could be taught now). Psychology courses are available, but I don't recall any Sociology courses. Band and Choir exist, but the school does nothing with stringed instruments.

Friendly student body as of when I attended, but some bullying, most of which had been initiated by students who had transfered to the school. Use of the mascot "Reds**n" is unacceptable, and I don't want to raise my kids in an environment overseen by bigots. The mascot never fit with me anyway. Either it's going to be online schooling or "Go Wildcats!".
